The General Scholarship Application is open for Spring scholarship consideration from Sept 15- Nov 15. UT Tyler students with a minimum 3.0 GPA enrolled full time in non reduced-price/bundled tuition program are eligible to apply. Late submissions are not accepted and cannot be appealed.

Qualifying and applying to scholarships does not guarantee that you will be offered a scholarship. You will receive a confirmation notice via your Patriot email account within 24 hours of submitting your application to complete the letter of appreciation. If additional information is needed to apply you to a specific scholarship, you will be contacted via your Patriot email account to return to Blackbaud and submit additional documents. All degree-seeking students are welcome to apply, but most opportunities require returning students with full-time enrollment (12 hours UGRD, 9 hours GRAD) with a minimum 3.0 UT Tyler GPA in a non reduced-priced program. Ineligible plans include but are not limited to: IDESIGN, BAAS, RN-BSN, ADN-BSN, Second Baccalaureate, Accelerated MBA (GRALT), and Certificate programs. Priority awarding is given to students who are both full-time enrolled and have a 3.0 Undergraduate GPA or a 3.25 Graduate GPA. Full-time enrollment during a fall, spring, or summer semester is defined in the UT Tyler catalog as 12 credit hours for undergraduate students and 9 credit hours for graduate students. Limited exceptions are also made regarding fulltime enrollment such as a students’ final graduating semester. Per the scholarship agreement, students receiving the Staff Development Scholarship, Employee Spouse Scholarship, or the Employee Dependent Scholarship are also not eligible for additional UT Tyler scholarships. One application is needed for the full Aid Year. If awarded, students must complete a “Donor Thank you Letter” prior to award being added to student’s myUTTyler Financial Aid package. Awards do not automatically renew to the next year and require re-submission of your General Scholarship Application each year via the General Scholarship.
