Our Opportunities

The General Scholarship Application is open for Fall 24-Spring 25 aid year scholarships from March 2- May 2. Full-time students with a cumulative UT Tyler GPA of at least 3.0 are eligible to apply. If you are graduating, your graduation application must be on file if enrolled less than full-time in your final semester. Students in reduced-price programs, RN-BSN students, ADN-BSN students, GRALT students, Second Baccalaureate students, and Certificate students are not eligible for scholarship funding. There are limited scholarship opportunities available for part-time and first semester students.

Instructions: Qualifying and applying to scholarships does not guarantee that you will be offered a scholarship. This is a competitive process, and decisions cannot be appealed. Please allow our office time to review all applications after the application closes. All applicants will be emailed once awarding is completed in June, regardless of if you were selected to receive a scholarship. Notifications are automatically emailed out when your account is updated, so our office will not provide updates on application status. You will receive a confirmation notice via your Patriot email account that your application has been submitted within 24 hours of submitting your application. If additional information is needed to apply you to a specific scholarship, you will be contacted via your Patriot email account to return to Blackbaud and submit additional documents.

How You Are Matched To Scholarship Opportunities
As a current or newly-admitted student, your general application is based on your information in your student center.
You may be automatically matched with scholarships for which you meet the criteria, and your profile will be available to the awarding department for review. These automatch scholarships will be listed as “None” under the Action column, which means no further action is required on your part.
You may be a good candidate for a scholarship, but more information is required. "Apply” will appear under the Action column, and you will have to complete an application to apply for that scholarship. These are Recommended scholarships found under the Opportunities drop-down menu above.
