Ina Brundrett Environmental Scholarship

Funds distributed from the endowment shall be used to provide awards to assist graduate students in the pursuit of study in the field of Environmental Science and/or Environmental Health at The University of Texas Health Center at Tyler and to provide, as deemed appropriate by the Director of Environmental Science Graduate Programs, special supplies and materials which will support the education of these graduate students.

If you are requesting an Ina Brundrett Environmental Health Science Award, you must: 1. be actively pursuing the MPH degree (neither on academic leave of absence nor in absentia) for the term for which you are requesting an award, 2. have a current, approved degree plan on file, 3. have satisfactorily completed all previous coursework in the program with a “B” or better, 4. *enroll in and maintain at least 6 credit hours in the MPH program during the award semester, and 5. * enroll in an environmental science focused experiential course for the semester of the award.
  4. The decision to award the scholarship will be determined by an institutional committee comprised of members of the Graduate Faculty. The committee’s decision will be based on a composite evaluation of each applicants’ submission of qualifications, academic performance, program progression as well as the criteria above. If awarded, the student must maintain regular enrolled student status during the award and must not be on scholastic probation, leave of absence, or registered in absentia. Failure to meet these conditions may result in termination of the scholarship. Awarded scholarships under this program can only be applied towards tuition and fees and will not exceed the total amount of tuition and fees incurred by the student during the award semester.
