Anderson Endowment

Norma Anderson Carpenter was a native of Arp, Texas. She graduated from U.T. Austin and worked as a secretary for Howe-Baker Engineers, Inc., for 25 years. Always appreciative of the importance of education, Norma directed that the endowment be dedicated to the memory of her father, Hugh Anderson, a former Smith County Commissioner. Norma requested that scholarship recipient preference be given to students completing Bachelor of Science degrees in computer science.
