Benjy F. Brooks Endowed Presidential Scholarship

Dr Benjy F. Brooks taught ethics at the University of Texas at Tyler for five (5) years. The Horatio Alger Award was bestowed upon her because of her rise to prominence from a modest beginning. Her success was borne out by her direction in the field of Pediatric Surgery. She was inducted into the Texas Women’s Hall of Fame because of her mission service in the fields in Romania and Kenya in addition to her humanitarian service in the United States. Funds from this endowment will be used to support scholarships for worthy students.
